Each tool features a robust steel threaded rod with a welded nut and a pair of straight-jaw locking pliers. One plier is welded to a threaded barrel nut; the other is attached to a slip tube. When the rod is tightened using a 15/16" socket, the pliers draw together, pulling the ends of the rubber track closer to relieve tension on the metal lacing pin for easy removal or installation. Loosening the rod pushes the pliers away from each other and the track ends apart, making installation and removal smooth and controlled.
